CREATIVE DANCE PROGRAM

Creative Ballet Classes (ages 3-5) are designed to introduce the preschool child to the world of dance and movement.

• Learn body awareness, muscle development, flexibility, coordination and basic movement skills

• Introduces the elements of classical ballet with the introduction of positions, technique, and preparatory steps. Focus is on musicality, phrasing, terminology and class etiquette. 

• Dancers can choose a 2nd focus of Tap or Jazz in addition to Ballet 

BALLET PROGRAM

Students are challenged to strengthen their ballet technique while learning ballet repertoire.

• Students expand their classical ballet vocabulary

• Our students focus on perfecting placement of the body, head, arms, and feet

• Performances include two full length ballets a year

• We strive to give our students quality Ballet Technique, Pointe, and Partnering

PERFORMANCE DIVISION PROGRAM

Performing is a vital element of dancers growth. Momentum's Performance Division was created to give dancers the opportunity to experience life in a pre-professional dance company and to share their passion with the dance community. Dancers have the option to audition for company roles in Ballet, Jazz/Contemporary, Hip Hop, and Tap.

• Performance opportunities include Community Tours, Dance Festivals, and Conventions throughout the PNW area.  

• PD Ballet Company Members are given the opportunity to dance Principle, Solo, and specialty roles in our 2 Full length Ballet Productions. 

CONTEMPORARY GENRE PROGRAM 

Our Contemporary program includes multiple genres such as Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Irish, Jazz, and Tap.

• With each genre we focus on providing quality training

• Not only do we offer multiple genres, we also offer multiple levels 

•  Proper alignment, balance & technique are taught in a fun, encouraging environment.

• Classes emphasize rhythm, design, shape & motion in space, with deliberate use of gravity.

OPEN TEEN / ADULT PROGRAM

These classes introduce the elements of dance vocabulary, musicality and individual style

• Our teen/adult program offers a wide variety of classes: Ballet, Tap, Jazz/Contemporary, and Hip Hop

• Classes focus on proper technique and fitness while offering a fun relaxed atmosphere.
