Our state-of-the-art facility gives us the ability to schedule more simultaneous classes (dance and music), so your family and friends may all participate in Momentum activities at the same time. 
 

THE "FLOATING" PROFESSIONAL DANCE FLOOR

Dance is a very physical activity that requires a lot of jumping, which can put stress on bones and joints. Most dance footwear does not provide any cushioning or support, so the shock of dance movement can place a lot of pressure on the knees and back of a dancer. MMDA helps prevent injuries by using a professional "sprung floor" which consists of 2 layers of plywood which rests on 2 inch sections of neoprene. 

We use a vinyl composite "marley" floor - accepted worldwide as the best surface layer for recreational to professional dance. Pacific Northwest Ballet, Boston Ballet and San Francisco Ballet all use Marley floors as their dance surface. A Marley floor allows dancers to slide without it being slippery so there is less risk of slips and falls. Very few studios use professional marley floors because of the expense involved, and usually opt for a regular floor tile for a studio floor. 4 Things Every Parent Should Know (PDF)

At Momentum Music & Dance Academy, we take your child's safety seriously. All of our studios are fully equipped with security cameras for safety and quality assurance. 
 

FREE WIRELESS CONVENIENCE FOR PARENTS AND OLDER STUDENTS

Shared wireless systems are not fully secure and so should only be used for basic internet browsing. For a more secure environment, use our wireless to connect to your work's VPN.
